Michael J. Lerner is a principal in the law firm of Denman & Lerner Co. L.P.A. He has been practicing law with the firm since 1993. He focuses his practice in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, workers’ compensation and criminal defense. He has experience handling cases from the inception of the case through the trail and appellate levels and provides representation to injured workers at all administrative levels. Although Michael practices primarily in the counties of Lake, Cuyahoga, Ashtabula and Geauga counties, he has litigated in other counties throughout the state of Ohio. He is also licensed to practice law in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio and the United States Supreme Court.
Michael earned his B.A. from Vanderbilt University where he majored in economics and graduated with honors. He then attended Case Western Reserve University where he earned his law degree. While in law school, Michael was the Coordinator of Judicial Affairs for the undergraduate school at Case Western where he had the opportunity to oversee all legal matters concerning the student population at the university.
Michael is an active member of the Ohio Association for Justice, the American Association for Justice, the Cleveland Bar Association and the Lake County Bar Association. He also serves regularly as an Acting Judge in a local Municipal Court.
Michael resides in Concord, Ohio with his wife, Susan, and their four children.
John S. Salem joined Denman & Lerner Co., L.P.A. in 2001. John works extensively in the areas of divorce, dissolution, support issues, child custody, marital settlement agreements and equitable property division. John’s current practice also includes personal injury, general civil litigation, commercial and real estate transactions, bankruptcy law, social security and criminal defense. He has experience handling cases at both the trial and appellate levels throughout Ohio. Currently, John practices in the counties of Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, Portage, Summit, Lorain, Medina and Ashtabula. He is also licensed to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
John earned his B.A. from the University of Notre Dame, where he majored in both English and Philosophy. John also attended the University of Notre Dame’s prestigious London Program. He earned his law degree (J.D.) from the Cleveland Marshall College of Law where he was an editor of the Cleveland Marshall Journal of Law and Health.
John is a member of the Ohio State, Cuyahoga County and Lake County Bar Associations, as well as the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers. He is also a member of the University of Notre Dame Alumni Association and is a Trustee for the Benedictine High School Endowment for the Humanities.
John lives in Chagrin Falls, Ohio with his wife, Sheila, and their three children.
James V. Loiacono has recently joined Denman & Lerner Co., L.P.A. after having practiced for thirty years as a partner with a large general practice firm and a sole practitioner. Jim has enjoyed a general practice–having represented injured workers, criminal defendants, estates and municipalities alike. His concentration, however, has always been in the areas of personal injury, medical negligence and workers’ compensation; and he has handled such matters at the administrative, trial and appellate levels. Although he has always maintained an office in Lake County, he has represented injury victims throughout the state, and is also licensed in the United States Federal Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio as well as the United States Court of Appeals (Sixth Circuit).
Born Cleveland, Ohio, August 9, 1953, Jim received his B.A. in 1975 from St. Leo College, where he majored in English and was the President of the Student Government Association. In 1978 he graduated from the Ohio Northern University, Pettit College of Law, and was a member and Associate Editor of the Ohio Northern University Law Review.
Jim is presently the Solicitor for the Village of Perry, Ohio, a position he has held since 2000, is a thirty-year member of the Lake County and Ohio Bar Associations, and is also a member of the Ohio Association for Justice and Ohio Municipal Attorney’s Association.
Jim resides in Concord, Ohio, with his wife Tina. He has three grown daughters, a granddaughter and two Cocker Spaniels.
Jeffrey W. Fram joined Denman & Lerner Co., L.P.A. in 2008. His practice primarily deals with the areas of workers’ compensation, domestic relations and juvenile law. He has handled cases in juvenile court, common pleas court and the appellate court. Jeff practices in the counties of Lake, Geauga, Ashtabula and Cuyahoga. He has been an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Lake County, a Referee/Magistrate for the Lake County Domestic Relations Court and a Staff Attorney/Bailiff for the lake County Common Pleas Court.
Jeff earned his B.A. from Hiram College, where he majored in both History and Spanish. He earned his law degree (J.D.) from Ohio Northern University, Pettit College of Law.
Jeff is a member of the Ohio State and Lake County Bar Associations.
Jeff lives in Concord, Ohio with his wife, Tina. Their oldest daughter is attending Ohio University in its graduate program, while their youngest daughter attends The Ohio State University.
